Well, they don't actually look any different from the way they normally come out, it's just that they're coming to me so easily today. X3 I'm not having to try so hard and redraw the same line 6 or 7 times before I get it right. :la: It's so nice to just see them turn out so smoothly.

Yeah, I know this was totally random, but it seems like all I ever post in journals is either Advertisements or Memes or some random rant about some trivial thing that ticks me off. So I just thought I'd share with you all a bit of my happiness, however small it may be.  It's the little things that keep me going after all. :dummy:

For the record, I think you draw REALLY well for your age. ( I remember you telling me you were in 3rd grade, but that seemes like forever ago. What grade is it now? 5th? 4th? ...I don't remember much at all. XD)

Oh yeah, me too. That's why I color on a different layer behind my linework. XD
You make the "linework" layer clear (not invisible, but just see through. Like, just run the eraser all over it if it's white.) Then you draw on that layer, and then you put a new layer behind it and color on that. That way, you don't have to worry about coloring over your lines. Just one of the many tricks that makes digital art easier than regular drawing. (well, Digital art has it's own flaws, but you know what I mean. ^^;)

I see. I should try doing that some point. I prefer traditional but I like how digital art turjs out. The shading looks more prominent and it give the drawing life.

And it's easier to do when you have different brushes and the smudge tool. Of course, you can do the same thing with graphite in regular pencils, but it'll be in black and white. "color" with the pencil in the areas that would be in shadow, and then smudge with your finger over to the less shaded area. It looks cool. :3
